About expiration dates
This is an explanation of how expiration dates are displayed so that you can be sure of the expiration dates of organic/natural cosmetics and use them with peace of mind and relaxation.
The way expiration dates are displayed varies slightly depending on the organic cosmetics manufacturer.
Below are the main ways expiration dates are displayed.
Example A
2 digits (numbers) = month + 4 digits = year
05.2014 = Until May 2014
Manufacturers such as Dr. Hauschka and Lavera use this method of labeling.
Example B
2 digits = day + 2 digits = month + 4 digits = year
03.10.2014 = This is how manufacturers such as Martina displayed their products until October 3, 2014.
Example C
2 digits = month + 2 digits = year
07 15 = Until July 2015
This is the display method used by manufacturers such as Sante and Logona.
Mindestens haltbar bis means expiration date in German.
The expiration date after opening varies depending on the brand and product.
If not, generally use it within 6 months.
Number + M = X months after opening
Please use within 6 months after opening.
Please use within 12 months after opening.
Taking into consideration the storage period at the manufacturer, we recommend using the product for approximately three years from the date of purchase.
After opening, please use the product as soon as possible within six months.
We arrange for packaging and shipping of products that have a shelf life of at least 6 months at the time of shipping to our German store.
The average expiration date for organic cosmetics that have an expiration date is about two years from the date of manufacture.
Because we do not use any preservatives, some products have an expiration date of less than one year even at the time of manufacture, so please be aware that the expiration date may be shorter than this period.
In the unlikely event that you receive a product other than the eligible product with a expiration date of less than six months, we will treat it as a defective product and arrange for the product to be reshipped.
Please contact us within one week of receiving the product.
Please note that we cannot accept inquiries after one week from the date of arrival of the product.
In order to ensure that we can respond smoothly, please contact us with an image of the part of the product that shows the expiration date (an attachment from your mobile phone is fine).
