The company was founded when its founder, who worked as a banker in Frankfurt, decided to start his own business.

He began learning about the beauty and power of nature at an early age after his mother gave an aloe vera plant to help his sibling after they'd injured themselves playing tag.

After brainstorming with his younger siblings, they decided to launch a joint project on aloe vera products and Elysius founded it.
